The shower was good.

The room was uncomfortably cold upon arrival. After setting the thermostat, the room remained frigid despite our efforts. Rattling windows and cold drafts ruined our sleep, making the stay miserable.

during my stay, I was horrified to find cobwebs in the light fixture and a bathroom vent that hadn't seen a cleaning in decades. also, where was my complimentary upgrade that I should've received, given my obviously refined tastes? just couldn't overlook these things, disappointment ran rampant. really thought I'd be treated like royalty here, what a joke.

One key for two people was inconvenient.

The Palais Royale offers a beautiful atmosphere with friendly staff. Enjoyed unwinding by the bar with a drink near the fire, so comforting!

The hotel's charm is undeniable, and the spacious bathroom added to the comfort. the noise from events nearby disrupted a peaceful stay, as sound carried easily through the walls.

The location was perfect for exploring local attractions. Our family fit nicely in the deluxe family room, with spacious accommodations that made our night enjoyable. Breakfast offered a great selection, with fresh pastries that delighted everyone at the table. A short walk took us to delightful cafes, making it easy to start our day on the right foot.

But the bathroom could use some thorough cleaning.

my overnight stay was comfortable and relaxing, with vintage charm that brought back memories of my previous trip to katoomba. the deluxe king room was clean, and i particularly appreciated the quality of the bedding. continental breakfast was delightful with tasty pastries and coffee.

The architecture is stunning, and the Grand Ballroom is a must-see! Loved the historical charm throughout the building.

the location is really good, super close to everything we wanted to see in katoomba. staff was very nice and helpful, made us feel welcome. our deluxe queen room was clean and comfy, just what we needed after a long day. enjoyed being able to walk around the area easily, especially to the three sisters and local restaurants. parking was a big bonus too!

however, the mattress seriously needs replacing, cause it felt old and sagged in the middle, making it hard to sleep well. also, the air con was acting up and wouldn't let us change the temp, which made our stay a bit uncomfortable.
